Application Overview
Reflux accumulators improve distillation efficiency. Vapours from the upper portion of the distillation column are cooled in a heat exchanger and then introduced in the accumulator. Liquid is drawn from the accumulator bottom via centrifugal pumps to the lower portion in a fractionating tower. Level monitoring occurs in the accumulator which serves as the distribution point.
