Reflux Accumulator

Application Overview

Reflux accumulators improve distillation efficiency. Vapours from the upper portion of the distillation column are cooled in a heat exchanger and then introduced in the accumulator. Liquid is drawn from the accumulator bottom via centrifugal pumps to the lower portion in a fractionating tower. Level monitoring occurs in the accumulator which serves as the distribution point.

The Delta Controls Benefit

  • Simple installation and setting adjustments available on onboard menus or HART® controller
  • Innovative ceramic probe design provides long-term reliability in high temperature applications
