Celebrating 50 years of being in business

E. Edward Brown founded Delta Controls in 1972 as a manufacturer of engineered automation and instrumentation systems. The first product, Series HT Acid Gas Thermocouple, efficiently solved the sulfur recovery industry’s issue of thermocouple failure in SRUs. Delta Controls continued to grow and introduce the capacitance, flow switch, and mechanical level switch lines in 1976 and 1977.

Eleven years later, Delta relocated to a newly constructed facility in Shreveport, Louisiana and premiered the hydrostatic pressure transmitter line.

Additional technology lines such as interface detection and pyrometry were added in the early 2000s.

In 2016, Delta was acquired by a local investment company resulting in a seamless transition and continued operations out of Shreveport, Louisiana.

As part of our dedication to quality products, services and company processes Delta became ISO 9001:2015 certified in 2017. Delta’s investment into quality is also evident in our infrastructure, with a dedicated quality control and testing laboratory on site.

Today Delta Controls Corporation is an internationally recognized expert in the design, engineering, manufacturing, and support of engineered process equipment and instrumentation. Delta continues to provide innovative and quality solutions for demanding applications using a variety of technologies including thermocouple, pyrometer, pressure, capacitance, mechanical, and more.
